Waypoint ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Saif Tech LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Waypoint mobile application.
Information We Collect
- Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
- Location data: Your device's GPS location to calculate routes and find nearby places. Location is only accessed while the app is in use.
- Errand data: The errands, addresses, and notes you enter into the app.
- Usage data: App interactions and crash reports to improve performance.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Waypoint service
- To calculate optimized errand routes using your location
- To sync your data across your devices via secure cloud storage
- To process subscription payments through Apple's App Store
- To respond to support requests
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted database storage. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use Row Level Security to ensure you can only access your own data.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication
- Google Maps & Places API — mapping and location services
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Anthropic Claude — AI-powered errand parsing (Pro feature only; text is processed server-side and not stored)
Location Data
Waypoint requests location access only while the app is in use ("When In Use" permission). We do not track your location in the background. Location data is used solely to calculate routes and is not sold or shared with third parties.
Subscription & Payments
Waypoint Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store payment card information. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@saiftechs.com.
Children's Privacy
Waypoint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
